WHAT IS OSCAR MIKE? Oscar Mike is active life. The term Oscar Mike comes from military radio jargon used on the front lines. It translates to On the Move . To us, being Oscar Mike means being active, staying positive and living life to its absolute fullest. We are a group of veterans, athletes, artists and individuals from all walks of life who want to embody the spirit of hard work on which America was founded. We re striving to bring back a tough, can-do spirit to our great country, and we want to look bad-ass while doing it. WHY SUPPORT OSCAR MIKE? Because we support you. Our mission is to keep you On the Move in every aspect of life. We believe that by staying active and focusing on the next upcoming goal, anyone can realize their full potential. We want to keep you inspired to do just that. We also help rehabilitate disabled veterans and individuals via adaptive sporting events through the efforts our non-profit organization The Oscar Mike Foundation (registered 501c3). We organize and participate in high-energy extreme events for disabled and able bodied individuals alike. We don t view disabilities as road blocks, but more as challenges to own and overcome. No rush, no reward. WHAT'S YOUR GOAL? Believe it or not our goal isn't to be the only all American made clothing company. We would LOVE competition. Our real mission is to have such an impact on the industry that we force our competitors to bring their manufacturing back to America. We know this is not only a viable way to produce goods, but the right thing for our country and our economy. In 1960, 95% of the clothing we wore was made here in the U.S. As of 2011, it's down to a scant 3%. We'd love to see that statistic reversed and experience the good it would do for us as a nation. Why shouldn't we have the option to buy American for every single item in our closets? This is where it starts. Stand with us. With your support, we can see this mission through. -Team Oscar Mike WHAT DOES THE FOUNDATION DO? The foundation raises money to assist injured veterans that need or want to remain active by supplementing great organizations like the PVA (Paralyzed Veterans of America). There are great organizations and events that exist, but the current marketing and fundraising cannot afford all of these opportunities to the large number of injured veterans that could and should be catered to. We believe it is integral for our severely injured veterans to remain active by participating in adaptive sports, education, and other things to progress their minds and bodies. 100% of the funds raised by the foundation go directly to this cause. HOW DOES THE APPAREL COMPANY SUPPORT THE FOUNDATION? The Oscar Mike apparel company we like to say is apparel with a mission. We started this company as a means to offer gainful employment for injured veterans and a way to market the foundation in a unique fashion that resonates with all generations of veterans. Another reason we found it necessary was that we were trying to find cool military apparel that was made here in the United States but couldn t. The existing market for military apparel, from what our research shows, is all made overseas. -Events- Keeps you up to date on all events and fundraisers we put on. -Submit Photos- Send us your photos of our events our our gallery. -Fan Wall- Comment on our fan wall about your experience while at one of our events. -Email List- Join our email list to find out about all we do. -Videos- Watch the inspiring stories about vets we feature.
